About the Role

As the Staff Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the general accounting team. This role supports core accounting functions including month‑end close, general ledger activity, accounts payable and receivable, inventory accounting, and sales tax compliance. You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

• Perform monthly account reconciliations (including bank accounts) and assist with month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger accuracy by troubleshooting issues and maintaining vendor and customer records.
• Reconcile inventory to physical counts, monitor non‑invoiced purchase orders, and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems (including Johnstone EZPay) and collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with sales tax filings, audits, and provide accounting and administrative support across departments including sales, purchasing, operations, and warranty.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Reliable, organized, and professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
