Job Description – Staff Nurse (Emergency Department)

Position: Staff Nurse – Emergency Department

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹23,000 per month

Job Summary

Responsible for providing urgent nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Must act quickly, prioritize care based on patient needs, support doctors and team members, and ensure patient safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Triage and assess incoming emergency patients promptly

✔ Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate patient records

✔ Administer medications and emergency treatments as ordered

✔ Assist doctors during emergency procedures

✔ Perform wound care, IV cannulation, CPR, catheterization, etc.

✔ Maintain cleanliness and readiness of emergency equipment

✔ Provide reassurance and comfort to patients and family members

✔ Ensure infection control standards are maintained

✔ Report changes in patient condition to senior staff and physicians

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. in Nursing / GNM Nursing (RN/RM Registered)
• Valid nursing registration
• Minimum (0 -3) years of experience in Emergency or critical care preferred
• Knowledge of emergency protocols, CPR, triage systems
• Must be able to handle high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
