Under the supervision of the Personnel Officer and the Division Director, Division of Administration, the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Specialist) is responsible for providing guidance, expertise, and training to managers and supervisors in areas involving employee performance and administration of the Department of Conservation's disciplinary process.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet Minimum Qualifications, the applicant will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Working Conditions
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person in Sacramento at least two days per week at 715 P Street MS-1806, Sacramento, CA. Alternative work locations will not be considered.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
