Barista

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using cash handling skills
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment to brew coffee and prepare beverages
- Prepare food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering duties
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and food handling procedures is a plus
