This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $ 25 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application) .

Perform technical and analytical work in the maintenance and support of an enterprise-wide Integrated HR-Payroll System (HRIS) for the organization. This role identifies and prioritizes needs for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operational workflows, functional design, configuration, and support to meet the State’s business requirements, Human Resource policies, and federal and state regulations. The position solves production support issues and implements system enhancements and fixes of routine to moderate complexity.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and support specific system modules such as Benefits, Time, Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Employee Self Service, and Manager Self
Service.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to understand business requirements and test the system to match those requirements.
  • Gain thorough knowledge of HRIS operations and the integration between system modules and the State’s Human Resources business processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot Helpdesk Tickets related to new hires, separations, promotions, and transfers for FTEs, Agency, and Temp Solutions staff.
  • Update personal records for permanent, agency, and temporary staff in the HRIS system.
  • Update Staff Badge IDs in the HRIS system to support timekeeping and timeclock entries.
  • Update HRIS Job aides and HRIS changes as needed to reflect current state of current HR/Payroll workflow procedures
  • Communicate effectively with timekeepers, HR staff, and operational leaders to promote relevant understanding of key issues.
  • Interact as a team member on projects, manage, and complete assigned project tasks.
  • Leverage HRIS reporting tools to provide daily and monthly timekeeping metrics to management.
  • Work with program developers to support HRIS system maintenance and enhancements.
  • Responsible for learning all HRIS Systems and become a technical SME in supporting operational issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data, exercising sound judgment and discretion in gathering and evaluating personal data

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, computer science, or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business or HR/Payroll consultation, process improvement or requirement gathering in an information technology, payroll, or HRIS environment; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
