Standards & Spec. Assistant

Job Purpose:
The role is responsible to provide essential support in the development, documentation, and maintenance of culinary standards and specifications. This role involves assisting in data collection and analysis, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to guidelines. The Assistant works closely with senior team members to support the implementation of culinary standards.

Key Result Areas:
Oversee and validate the gathering of accurate ERP process data across the team, ensuring integration into workflows and the generation of comprehensive reports.
Calculate daily meal quantities and raw material requirements for production, correlating these figures with forecasts using ERP, to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimize waste, and meet production demands efficiently.
Reverify the accuracy of recipes validated by team members, ensuring that all ingredients and instructions are correct and consistent with established standards, to maintain high quality and reliability in food production.
Coordinate with Master Data, Planning, Forecasting, and Specification teams to provide relevant information, ensuring seamless and up-to-date operations.
Monitor and maintain master data such as item codes, bill of materials, product specifications, and Flight Catering Solutions (FCS) Master data*'based on Production Chef's input to ensure adherence to established standards and specifications for food products.
Generate and distribute forecast data to all internal stakeholders using available forecasting tools, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided to support effective decision-making.
Oversee the distribution of production schedules and work orders to relevant sections, ensuring workflow is streamlined and task execution is optimized.
Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels by managing requisitions for materials and supplies and address any discrepancies or shortages to support seamless production operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
Bachelor*s degree in Hotel Management or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Experience with food photography is an added advantage.

Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
