Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Steel Scrap Trader to join our trading division in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the steel scrap industry, market trends, and trading operations. This role requires building and maintaining supplier and buyer relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring profitable trade deals while complying with company standards and UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure steel scrap from suppliers across local and international markets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, mills, foundries, and recycling companies.
• Monitor global and regional scrap metal market trends to identify trading opportunities.
• Negotiate purchase and sales agreements to maximize profitability.
• Manage end-to-end trading cycle including logistics, documentation, pricing, and payment follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with UAE trade regulations, import/export policies, and company procedures.
• Prepare regular market and sales reports for management review.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and trading targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 –2years of proven experience in steel scrap trading or metal commodities trading.
• Strong market knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP trading systems.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an added advantage).
