STEM Daytime School Instructor Position (PART TIME)

3hrs - 5hrs per day / 3 to 5 days per week ($75 to $125 per day)

8:30am to 2:30pm time window

What is the job description?

• During school time 6-week science program to supplement science curriculum.
• After completing a paid training program, you will present fun and interactive school classes.
• Manage 45mins long back to back science themed workshops. 2 to 4 workshops per day. Teachers will assist with classroom management.
• Run exciting hands-on experiments and activities in every class.
• Engage elementary school students ages grade 2-5th
• Inspire students to learn and have fun
• We supply everything you need to teach including program content, materials, and an awesome Mad Science lab coat to wear!

How are instructors compensated?

• $25 per 1hr class plus extra 1hr ($25 to set up/clean up)
• TWO 1hr classes $75, THREE 1hr classes $100, FOUR 1hr class $125
• Paid set up and take down time
• Paid training and orientation
• Paid drive time beyond 30 minutes

What are we looking for in a Mad Scientist?

• You must enjoy and have experience working with elementary aged children
• Positive energy and a sense of humor
• Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license
• Available at least three days per week (from 8:30 - 9:00am to 2.00 - 2:30pm).

Locations: San Diego, Santee

Job will begin in March 2026

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
