responsibilities
- Stock management: Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming stock. Maintaining accurate inventory records and levels.
- Warehouse organization: Organizing and storing items in an orderly and accessible manner. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Order fulfillment: Preparing and packing orders, ensuring accuracy and quality. Generating shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Dispatch coordination: Monitoring and tracking shipments. Coordinating with logistics providers, drivers, and warehouse staff for timely deliveries.
- Issue resolution: Resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the storage or dispatch process.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of dispatch activities and preparing reports for management review.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field like logistics or supply chain management, though some roles may not require a postgraduate degree.
- Experience: Previous experience in a storekeeper, warehouse, or dispatch role is often required.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in dispatch management or inventory software.
