Position Summary:
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining proper storage, issuance, and documentation of materials. The role supports project operations by maintaining stock levels, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and keeping all store areas organized and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange materials, warehouse space, equipment, and store resources in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate inventory and store records as per company policies.
- Record all inward and outward materials, including gate passes, loss reports, and damage reports.
- Monitor stock levels (minimum, maximum, average, danger, and reorder levels) and notify the Project Manager for timely replenishment.
- Prepare stock turnover ratio and take steps to minimize inventory losses (normal and abnormal).
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory closing reports to the Project Manager.
- Conduct monthly store and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare monthly material reconciliation reports.
- Issue gate passes for materials and maintain detailed logs.
- Maintain strong coordination and a positive working relationship with site staff.
- Ensure proper storage of chemicals and hazardous materials as per MSDS guidelines and follow safety protocols while handling or transporting them.
- Respond proactively to site material requirements and ensure timely issuance.
- Keep internal and external store and yard areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. degree or relevant technical diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in store or inventory management.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in computerized store operations and inventory management.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
