Responsibilities

Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service

Develop business strategies to increase customers’ pool, expand store traffic and
optimize profitability

Complete store administration and ensure compliance with company policies and
procedures

Maintain excellent store condition and visual merchandising standards as per the

Retail department SOP

Ensure that visual merchandising guidelines are adhered to and standards are
-
maintained in the section(s) and provide inputs to the store visual merchandiser on the
same

Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.

Communicate innovative ideas to increase market share

Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with
potential and current customers
-
Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories and
-
communicating shortages by maintaining an ongoing communication with the Central
or Regional Distribution Center

Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures and inspect
and ensure adjustment of damages as per the Standard Operating Procedure "SOP's"
-
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment

Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
-
Touring the sales floor regularly and identifying and resolving staff and customers
issues and grievances

Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding
forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring competitors' performance

Ensure achievement of sales targets which have been set for the department/s and
provide input in deciding the same

Ensure adherence to shopping standards by conducting periodic audits of the
department and taking corrective actions

Ensures budgets for own store is managed and that expenditure stays in agreed
budgets

Ensures store administration is completed according to company procedures on a
daily, weekly and monthly basis

Drives Initiatives to improve customer relationships and generate loyalty
People Management

Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees;
following up on work results

Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales
staff

Maintains store staff, orienting, and training

Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees;
planning, monitoring, and conduct fair performance appraisals

Leads, motivates and develops the team to maximize talent and performance and
achieve business objectives
Qualifications
-
Bachelor Degree in Business / Retail Operations or a related field is required
-
Minimum of 2 to 3 years as a Store Manager handling a big box department
-
Customer centric with a positive attitude
-
Proficient in MS Office Excellent
