Job Purpose
To supervise overall store operations, ensure effective inventory management, maintain stock accuracy, and lead store staff in receiving, storing, and issuing grocery products in accordance with company policies and operational requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Supervise receiving, storage, and issuance of grocery products.
- Ensure implementation of FIFO/FEFO principles for all inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
- Review slow-moving, obsolete, and near-expiry items and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and ensure inventory reconciliation with ERP records.
Store Operations
- Manage daily store activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Verify Goods Receiving Notes (GRNs), stock transfer notes, and issuance documents.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain product quality and prevent losses.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and operational departments regarding stock requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and compliance with safety standards within the store premises.
Team Management
- Supervise and guide Store Keepers and Store Assistants.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Train store personnel on inventory procedures, documentation, and company policies.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock variance reports.
- Ensure all store documentation is properly maintained and readily available for audits.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required records and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in store operations, preferably in the grocery or FMCG sector.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience in warehouse/store management.
