Job Title: Store KeeperJob Summary
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of materials, tools, and equipment at the site/store. The role ensures proper inventory control, timely availability of materials, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans
- Maintain proper storage, stacking, and labeling of materials
- Issue materials to site teams as per approved requisitions
- Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and registers (manual or system-based)
- Monitor stock levels and inform management for timely reordering
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials to avoid damage or loss
- Coordinate with Purchase, Site, and Accounts departments
- Maintain records of tools, consumables, and returnable materials
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the store area
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum Diploma / Graduate (preferred)
- 1-3 years experience as Store Keeper in construction / railway / infrastructure projects
- Experience in handling electrical, civil, or S&T materials is an advantage
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to maintain stock registers and documentation
- Familiar with MS Excel / basic computer operations
- Honest, organized, and detail-oriented
- Good coordination and communication skills
