Storekeeper

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and controlling all inventory for the café/restaurant, including food supplies, packaging, beverages, and operational materials. The role ensures accurate stockkeeping, timely replenishment, and compliance with Dubai Mall and Dubai Municipality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries of food items, beverages, packaging, and supplies.
• Record stock accurately using inventory software or manual system.
• Monitor stock levels and prepare daily/weekly requisitions.
• Perform FIFO and FEFO stock rotation to minimize waste and spoilage.

Storage & Hygiene Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled storage area.
• Ensure proper labeling and expiry tracking of perishable items.
• Follow Dubai Municipality hygiene and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain pest control standards and support audits when required.

Operational Support

• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for daily stock requirements.
• Support purchasing department in vendor follow-ups and delivery schedules.
• Assist in month-end inventory count and stock reconciliation.
• Track consumables and packaging materials for takeaway/delivery orders.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain GRN (Goods Received Note), delivery logs, and inventory records.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
• Ensure proper documentation for Dubai Mall security checks.
• Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports for management.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a Storekeeper in F&B / hospitality (mall or premium experience preferred).
• Knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., Oracle, FMC, Marketman, or Excel).
• Strong attention to detail with organized work habits.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic/other languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP/ISO preferred).
• Ability to lift and move stock items safely.
• Able to work in rotating shifts if required.
