Store Keeper – Agriculture / Farm Operations

Shepherd’s Dream Farms is pleased to announce an excellent job opportunity for a Store Keeper to join our growing team.

Job Description

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring they meet quality standards and purchase order specifications.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure easy access and proper handling of farm supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular stock counts (physical and system-based) to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials to avoid shortages.
  • Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery to support farm operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement to identify obsolete or excess items and recommend proper usage or disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within all storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and arrangement.
  • Implement and follow safety procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of materials, including fertilizers, feeds, or other farm-related supplies.
  • Ensure proper security of inventory by controlling access and minimizing loss or damage.
  • Oversee proper storage conditions to prevent spoilage, contamination, or deterioration of materials.
  • Handle and move materials using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or other tools when necessary.
  • Issue materials, tools, and supplies based on approved requests and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Track usage and report any discrepancies or unusual consumption patterns.
  • Ensure issued tools and materials are returned in good condition and properly recorded.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (manual and electronic), including receipts, transfers, and issuances.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and usage reports.
  • Coordinate with farm operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Communicate any material shortages or delays to relevant teams promptly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any related field, or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management; experience in agriculture, farming, or related industries is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory systems and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Certifications: Training in inventory management or safety practices is a plus.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
