Responsibilities

• Safely transfer patients on stretchers between medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and security throughout the process
• Assist with patient positioning and immobilization as needed to prevent injury during transport
• Communicate clearly with healthcare staff to coordinate patient handoffs and relay relevant information about patient condition
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of stretchers and transportation equipment in compliance with health standards
• Follow established protocols for patient handling, including infection control procedures and safety guidelines
• Monitor patient well-being during transit, responding promptly to any signs of distress or discomfort
• Document transport details accurately in logs or electronic records, including any incidents or observations

Requirements

• Prior experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly desirable
• Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care during transport
• Experience working within hospital environments or critical care transport settings is preferred
• Strong physical stamina to lift, move, and assist patients safely over extended periods
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare teams and patients
• Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and handle emergency situations confidently
