Structural BIM Modeler

Job Summary

The Structural BIM Engineer is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) for structural systems. The role involves creating accurate 3D models, ensuring clash-free designs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural BIM models using software such as Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare shop drawings, GA drawings, and reinforcement details from BIM models.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve design clashes using tools like Navisworks.
• Ensure models comply with project specifications, BIM standards, and local authority requirements.
• Assist in BIM Execution Plan (BEP) preparation and implementation.
• Perform clash detection and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Extract quantities and generate reports for estimation and procurement.
• Support structural engineers in design development and documentation.
• Ensure proper file management and version control of BIM data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7–8 years of experience in structural BIM modeling.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Autodesk Revit (Structural)
• Navisworks
• AutoCAD
• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650 is an advantage.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of structural systems (RC, steel structures, foundations).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working on large-scale or complex projects.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, ADCD).
• BIM certification is a plus.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
