Structural Civil Engineer

The Structural Civil Engineer is responsible to plan, design, assess, and supervise the implementation and maintenance of structural elements of buildings, infrastructure, and estate facilities. The Structural Civil Engineer ensures the integrity, safety, and durability of all civil and structural systems within the private estate, including villas, staff accommodations, roads, retaining walls, utility buildings, and specialty structures, while adhering to UAE building codes and high-standard design principles suited for luxury environments.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineering License (PE, or equivalent from home country) preferred.
• Proficiency in structural design codes (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes, or UAE building codes).
• Valid UAE Driving License (preferred for site inspections).

EXPERIENCE:

• 5–7 years of experience in structural design and site supervision, preferably within high-end residential, luxury villas, private estates, or hospitality projects in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams, with exposure to MEP integration, landscaping structures, and architectural detailing.
• Proven experience with foundation design, load calculations, retrofitting, and structural repairs.

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Structural Design & Analysis

• Designing reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures for buildings, landscaping, and infrastructure elements.
• Conducting load assessments, seismic analysis, and stability checks.
• Using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit Structure.

Site Supervision & Inspection

• Supervising structural works during construction and renovation phases.
• Monitoring quality of materials and workmanship as per design specifications and standards.
• Preparing daily reports, progress updates, and non-conformance logs.

Technical Documentation

• Preparing and reviewing structural drawings, BOQs, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Ensuring accurate as-built documentation and redline drawings for completed projects.
• Coordinating with CAD teams and consultants for drawing modifications and approvals.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborating with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Advising on cost-effective structural solutions without compromising safety or aesthetics.
• Conducting technical reviews with procurement and maintenance teams for material suitability.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensuring adherence to local municipality regulations, UAE fire codes, and international design standards.
• Preparing documentation for permit approvals, structural integrity reports, and compliance audits.

Problem-Solving & Maintenance Support

• Assessing existing structures for cracks, corrosion, settlement, and deterioration.
• Designing structural reinforcements or repairs where needed.
• Supporting estate maintenance teams in addressing urgent civil/structural issues.
