Structural Design Engineer (Freelance / Project Basis)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to collaborate with us on a freelance / project basis for ongoing architectural and engineering projects in Dubai.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in structural analysis, design calculations, and UAE authority compliance (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and structural drawings
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and standards
• Provide value engineering solutions for cost and efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in structural design
• Strong knowledge of:
• Reinforced concrete & steel structures
• High-rise / villa design standards
• Proficiency in:
• ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, SAP2000
• AutoCAD
• Familiar with DM approval process
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy environment
• Previous freelance / project-based experience
