About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead and manage the civil/structural aspects of major roads, bridges, and tunnels projects for UAE government. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the structural design, site execution, and integration of infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with UAE standards, project specifications, and contractual milestones.
Responsibilities

Oversee, manage, and monitor the integration and execution of all structural engineering site activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.

Review and approve structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications for bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, and other road structures.

Collect and analyse end-user requirements for new projects, coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Provide technical site support to the construction operations team during execution and as required.

Review and analyse construction programmes against contractual milestones; recommend adjustments and coordinate with other related projects.

Liaise with RTA, MOEI, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Review, comment on, and process technical submittals to ensure adherence to specifications.

Prepare and maintain internal progress reports, including narratives, updated schedules, and performance metrics.

Attend and actively contribute to project progress and coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and authority representatives.
Requirements:
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

Professional engineering accreditation (advantageous).
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years’ experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years on UAE-based roads and highways infrastructure projects.

Proven track record in RTA and/or MOEI-approved projects involving bridges, tunnels, and other transportation structures.

Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards, codes, and approval processes.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

Familiarity with project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).

Knowledge of international and UAE design codes (AASHTO, BS, Eurocodes, RTA standards).
