Student Assistant - Multimedia Production Assistant

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Multimedia Production Assistant is to help plan, shoot, and edit video projects for the department. Applicants need not possess their own video production equipment. HRE will provide all tools necessary to complete job duties, including cameras, lenses, and computer editing software.

Specific duties include:

Produce, shoot and edit video to be used in HRE Marketing efforts, including HRE events
Shoot, edit and organize photos for HRE marketing efforts, including Housing events
Assist with the production of USF Housing LIVE!, a live web-show that brings up-to-date information to future and current USF students and their families
Assist with other department projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Be a currently enrolled student
Perform tasks promptly and professionally, demonstrating strong time management skills and situational awareness
Have familiarity with basic camera operation procedures like proper framing, focusing, etc.
Willingness to appear on-camera for photo and video projects

Preferred Qualifications

Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms
Available to work on campus during the 2025-26 academic year, including the 2026 summer term
Proficiency with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
Proficiency with photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom
Understanding of how to adjust and balance sound levels on an audio mixer
Good communication skills – both oral and written
