About the Role

As a Academic Mentor, you will play a key role in nurturing students’ academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being. You will serve as a mentor, motivator, and trusted point of contact—helping students navigate challenges, build confidence, and stay focused on their educational journey. Collaboration with teachers and families will be central to ensuring a supportive and enriching learning environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport & Motivate Students

• Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage students’ academic and personal growth.
• Lead engaging extracurricular and developmental activities to foster confidence and character.
• Offer a supportive presence and be someone students can approach for guidance and conversation.

Monitor Academic Progress

• Conduct regular check-ins to review each student’s academic performance.
• Identify strengths, challenges, and areas where additional support may be needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to create clear, targeted learning support plans.
• Follow up consistently to ensure students are improving and staying motivated.

Engage with Parents

• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings to share updates and collaborate on action plans.
• Provide suggestions to help parents support their child’s learning at home.

Manage Student Data & Reports

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral updates.
• Use basic digital tools and tracking systems to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
• Prepare clear, concise reports to assist the team in decision-making.
