Job Role: SME (Subject Matter Expert)- Procurement

Location: NSP Pitampura, Delhi

Budget Range: 25000 to 35000 – (Depend on interview performance)

Job Purpose:

To ensure timely, quality-driven, and compliant delivery of project materials through effective vendor development, pre-dispatch inspections, and order-to-delivery monitoring. The role focuses on building a reliable vendor base, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth material supply for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Development & Evaluation

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/suppliers based on capability, quality systems, and past performance.

· Conduct vendor assessments and audits to ensure adherence to technical and quality parameters.

· Maintain an updated database of approved and potential vendors for various product categories.

· Coordinate with procurement and technical teams to finalize vendor specifications and approval processes.

2. Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) & Quality Assurance

· Conduct pre-dispatch inspections of materials and equipment at vendor locations as per approved quality standards, technical specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

· Verify the make, model, quantity, and physical condition of items before dispatch.

· Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with vendors.

· Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographs, test results, and compliance remarks.

3. Order-to-Delivery Coordination

· Track and monitor the entire material supply chain — from purchase order release to final delivery at project sites.

· Coordinate with vendors, logistics partners, and project teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.

· Resolve issues related to delays, quality deviations, or incomplete documentation.

· Maintain material delivery schedules and update project teams regularly.

4. Documentation & Compliance

· Verify invoices and dispatch documents for compliance.

· Maintain inspection records, vendor performance reports, and material compliance checklists.

· Support internal and external audits related to vendor management and material supply.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field.

Experience:

Prior experience in vendor development, quality inspection, or supply chain management — preferably in Electronics or vocational lab projects.

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of inspection procedures and material quality standards.

· Vendor assessment and negotiation skills.

· Excellent documentation and reporting ability.

· Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP tools for tracking and reporting.

· Ability to travel for vendor visits and inspections
