Location: Project based in Syria (deployment in Aleppo, Idlib, and Damascus areas). Work will be primarily site-based inside Syria. Field-based at 66–400 kV substation construction sites

Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation of primary and secondary substation equipment, busbars, cabling, and earthing systems.
  • Review as-built drawings and ensure installations match approved designs.
  • Witness testing, commissioning, and protection relay settings.
  • Coordinate with control, civil, and OHS teams to maintain quality and safety.
  • Report progress, non-conformities, and corrective actions.

Qualifications (RFP requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years’ experience, including 7 years on substation construction or supervision (≥ 132 kV).
  • Strong knowledge of IEC standards and protection/SCADA interfaces.
  • Prior work on IFI-funded or large-utility projects desirable.
  • Arabic fluency essential; English proficiency an asset.

Compensation: Competitive local package with site-performance bonus; mobility and housing allowance for relocated personnel.
