Duties

• Supervise children during camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, sports, theater performances, and educational activities
• Manage activity space to promote positive behavior and maintain order through effective behavior management techniques
• Provide first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by implementing individualized strategies
• Foster a supportive environment aligned with camp values, including Christian counseling principles if applicable
• Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and childhood development

Skills

• Skills to guide children effectively and maintain discipline positively
• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-specific needs and behaviors
• Ability to perform first aid confidently and respond calmly in emergencies
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
• Familiarity with sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities that enhance camp programming
