Summer Camp Instructor

Job Summary
Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Instructor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and fun in children! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire young minds through creative play, educational lessons, and sports. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable summer experiences that promote growth, teamwork, and confidence for children of diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities

  • Lead dynamic activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games to keep children active and entertained.
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to safety protocols, conducting first aid when necessary, and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Support children’s emotional well-being through attentive Christian counseling approaches or other supportive methods as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to plan age-appropriate curriculum tailored to early childhood education standards.
  • Assist with daily camp routines such as check-ins, snack times, transitions, and end-of-day summaries.
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects individual differences and promotes teamwork among campers.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills coupled with patience and adaptability.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to engage children through creative teaching methods including theater or sports coaching.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
