Duties

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games to ensure an exciting experience for all participants
  • Maintain a safe environment by supervising children closely and implementing proper behavior management techniques
  • Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns following established protocols
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored activities and compassionate guidance
  • Foster inclusive participation by encouraging teamwork, respect, and positive social interactions among campers
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any important updates
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold camp policies

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR are strongly recommended; willingness to obtain these certifications is required if not already held
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and respectful environment
  • Ability to adapt activities for children with diverse needs, including those in special education programs
  • Passion for working with kids and fostering their growth through engaging activities in a fun-filled atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
