Summer Camp Office Assistant (seasonal summer 2026)

POSITION SUMMARY: Agassiz Village is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Residential Summer Camp Office Assistant to join our team for the Summer of 2026! The Agassiz Village Office Assistant is a key position at camp. The Office Assistant manages the communication for camp, assist parents with registration issues, fields phone calls, and files and keeps office documents current and available. S/he will provide a safe and nurturing environment for campers and staff, and have a positive attitude about all camp activities and policies.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Answer the phones, check emails, and distribute messages in a timely fashion.

2. Work with Camp Director on any registration questions or challenges.

3. Email parents’ check-in reminders, check-out reminders, and parent surveys.

4. Help with resolution of camper fees and final payments.

5. Distribute, collect and sort mail.

6. Complete administrative projects for the Camp Director.

7. Demonstrate and teach the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to all campers and staff.

8. Maintain positive public relations with parents, visitors, and the general public at all times.

9. Assist with scheduling and program implementation.

10. Willingness to go above and beyond your written job description.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least 18 years old.

2. Be highly organized, able to take initiative, and an effective communicator

3. Ability to provide excellent customer service

4. Desire and ability to work in a camp setting

5. Good role model, high integrity, and adaptable

6. Ability to understand and follow directions

7. Positive attitude and ability to build a cohesive team

The Office Assistant Reports to Camp Director. Hours vary. Housing and meals provided.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $475.00 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
