Or Associates degrees in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education

Or Bachelors/Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education.

In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and personal development. Your energy and passion will help shape memorable summer experiences for children of diverse backgrounds and interests. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, physical activity, and social skills.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that respects individual differences and supports children with special education needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and camp updates.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to coordinate camp schedules, events, and special projects such as theater performances or sports tournaments.
  • Support children’s emotional development through Christian counseling principles or other supportive techniques as appropriate.

Skills

  • Proven ability in classroom management and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or summer camps.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR to respond confidently to emergencies.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
  • Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Enthusiasm for sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, tutoring or other extracurricular activities that enhance camp experiences. Join us in creating an energetic summer atmosphere where every child feels valued, inspired, and excited to learn!

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
