Summary:

The Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for supervision of Materials Management distribution and patient equipment staff. Insures all related Materials duties are completed. Areas include par stocking inpatient areas with medical supplies, linen and oxygen.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for the supervision all distribution staff and the Patient Equipment Coordinator including to but limited to sufficient staffing, staff performance and adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies.

Meets with key Nursing, Administrative and Support Departments to advance internal specialty equipment program (introduces new technology, processes and procedures) and monitors effectiveness of interventions.

Inventory management. Runs and analyzes data in Crystal reports and Lawson. Communicates with outside vendors to ensure that adequate par levels are on hand at all times.

Monitors all pending equipment orders such that prompt delivery of equipment and supplies is achieved from vendors and to requesting departments.

Makes frequent rounds to ensure appropriate service levels are being performed.

Ensures all soiled equipment (IV pumps, commodes, traction etc.) is retrieved and cleaned for reuse.

Ensures all soiled linen is removed from inpatient areas and Emergency Department.

Maintaining proper inventory levels and working with staff to ensure proper issuing/charging.
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Education Specialization: Equivalent Experience:•3+ years Health Care or Retail environment•Previous team leadership or supervisory skills.•3+ years' experience with Inventory Systems
