Job Summary
Responsibilities include shipping and receiving of IT equipment throughout the enterprise. Participate in running and maintaining warehouse operations as well as maintaining records of IT inventory. Processing and fulfilling warehouse orders, and supervising day to day warehouse activities with little or no supervision. Position reports IT Technical Manager with direction from Senior and Lead IT Inventory Management Technician.Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
One (1) year of experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving or asset management
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to utilize software interface to fulfill orders, issue goods receipts, complete shipping manifests, maintain warehouse inventory, etc
Principal Accountabilities
Works in warehouse space for incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory storage. Rotate IT equipment to facilitate first-in first out inventory fulfillment.
Assists in monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels; process orders as required; track order and investigate problems.
Performs periodic or scheduled inventory reconciliation, report findings.
Issues asset tags and update asset information in inventory system.
Communicates with customers regarding shipments and inventory.
Differentiates and organizes IT equipment for base inventory and project inventory.
Provides assistance to Configuration Center personnel to image and configure IT assets.
Coordinates off-cycle and project shipments to facilities, including working with vendors.
Moves goods in warehouse using forklift, pallet jack, motorized lift and utilize pallet preparation machinery.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
