Supply Chain Manager

The Role
The Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain operations across UAE and GCC, with a strong focus on large-scale distribution networks, multi-location warehouses, and last-mile delivery efficiency. The role requires leadership of a large team, optimization of FMCG and chemical distribution, compliance with GCC regulatory frameworks, and cost-effective supply chain strategies. Warehouse & Distribution Management • Manage large-scale warehouses (50,000+ sq. ft.) handling FMCG and chemical goods. • Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound, storage, order picking, dispatch, and last-mile delivery. • Implement WMS, automation, and Lean practices for efficiency. • Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices and hazardous material handling compliance. Inventory & Demand Planning • Maintain optimal stock levels for fast- and slow-moving goods. • Forecast demand trends with Demand & Supply Planning Manager. • Own inventory planning and replenishment in alignment with Regional Demand and Supply Planning team • Reduce stockouts and excess inventory through accurate ERP-driven forecasting. Distribution Network Leadership • Manage fleet and drivers to ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) deliveries across KSA & GCC. • Develop route optimization strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve service levels. • Coordinate with 3PL providers, shipping agents, and customs for regional distribution. Procurement & Supplier Collaboration • Negotiate with suppliers, 3PLs, and logistics partners to support high-volume needs. • Ensure suppliers deliver against service-level agreements for replenishment and transport. • Support KSA tenders with supply feasibility and cost inputs. • Execute awarded tenders ensuring delivery and compliance. Compliance & Safety • Enforce OSHA, KSA/GCC warehousing standards, and chemical handling protocols. • Ensure compliance with ESMA, SASO, GHS, REACH, and DHA regulations. • Maintain certifications and compliance records for audits. Cost & KPI Management • Achieve 10–15% cost reduction in warehousing and distribution annually. • Track KPIs: o Order Fulfilment Rate o OTIF (On-Time In-Full) o Warehouse Throughput o GRN Processing Time o Inventory Turns o Inventory Accuracy o Cost per Delivery o % Local Spend (KSA) o Customer Complaint Resolution o Tender Compliance • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools. Team Leadership • Lead Supply Chain employees including warehouse supervisors, operators, helpers, and drivers. • Develop staff skills in inventory control, fleet management, and workplace safety. • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning.

Requirements
  • Essential: Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics. • Preferred: MBA in Supply Chain or professional certifications (CIPM, CSCP, CISCP, CLTD). • Minimum 8-10 years in FMCG/Chemical Supply Chain/Hygiene. • KSA Market experience is preferred • Extensive background in distribution networks and multi-location warehouse management. • ERP/WMS/TMS expertise (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Navision). • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma and logistics cost optimization. • Familiarity with UAE & GCC supply chain regulations and customs processes. • ERP & WMS systems management. • Route optimization and logistics cost modelling. • Advanced Excel and data analytics. • Compliance knowledge (OSHA, ESMA, SASO, GHS). • Leadership of large multicultural teams. • Strong negotiation and supplier management. • Problem-solving in crisis situations (delays, shortages, compliance issues). • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
