The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations of our premium confectionary brand, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relations. This role ensures the timely and cost-efficient delivery of raw materials and supplies to all production facilities and branches, while upholding quality standards aligned with food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Manage procurement of raw materials (flour, butter, sugar, fillings, etc.), packaging, and non-trade items.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Monitor inventory levels across central kitchen and branch locations; implement replenishment systems to avoid stockouts or wastage.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Accounts teams to align supply with production schedules and budget targets.
- Oversee logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to all outlets.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, including buyers, inventory analysts, and logistics coordinators.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports on supply chain KPIs and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics; at least 1 year in a managerial role.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, FMCG, or retail is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management systems, and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., PFA) is an advantage.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office applications.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
