Tesla is seeking an exceptional Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to be part of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) sourcing Org. In this role, you'll develop, refine, and execute sourcing strategies for PCBs that feed into All New Product Introduction (NPI) programs of Tesla Inc.
The ideal candidate brings (a) strong technical expertise in sourcing, (b) resilience, (c) situationally aware, (d) ownership, (e) ability to work through a fog of ambiguity and (f) capability to deliver consistently in a “time is of the essence” mode.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Group Manager, you'll also serve as a key sourcing partner for Tesla's engineering groups. By fostering robust relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you'll drive conversations on cost drivers at NPI stage, quality, and delivery performance. What You'll Do
Own the NPI RFx & Delivery Process: Stay abreast of new programs and program milestones, preparing and issuing RFQ(s) to potential supply partners; Nominating appropriate supply partner for each program; Executing on creative risk mitigation activities to ensure timelines can be met; enabling constant and continuous communication cycles with internal customers on build status; and continuously closing on all open activities
Creating Purchase Orders, Creating Shipment requests, cross functional follow throughs and driving + owning supplier acknowledgements through materials delivery, chasing invoice closures
Owning and managing database of part numbers and their attributes
Collaborate on Product Launches: Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to orchestrate seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) and efficient scaling to mass production
Build NPI Category Strategies: Develop, align, and execute comprehensive NPI category strategies to meet Tesla’s long-term supply chain objectives
Become a Category Expert: Gain a deep understanding of the supply base; fabrication and assembly processes, materials, lead times, global trends and dynamics, emerging technologies, and other nuances to enable proactive decision-making
Assess and Mitigate Risks: Evaluate supply chain risks and develop robust contingency plans to support Tesla's NPI production requirements
Contract Management: Ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), General Terms & Conditions, and related contracts are in place before initiating business with NPI suppliers
Develop Supplier Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators and monitoring processes for selected suppliers, to enable visibility to trends, risks, and opportunities
Support all incremental programs and projects generated from an ever-evolving product portfolio
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement with a focus on PCB, electronics components and electronics manufacturing
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
Excellent data-driven decision making, problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business goals and drive measurable impact
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and legal team to drive alignment and execute sourcing strategies
Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring strategic collaboration and mutual growth
Managing various aspects of PCB manufacturing, production ramp planning, strategic sourcing, should cost analysis and risk management
Deep understanding of PCB manufacturing process, becoming a subject matter expert, especially in processes that are unique to Tesla programs

Expected Compensation
$82,800 - $151,920/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
