Supply Chain Officer (Grocery Section)

Job Purpose:

The Supply Chain Officer – VQRM is responsible for managing vendor evaluation, qualification, and risk monitoring to ensure that suppliers consistently meet organizational quality, compliance, and performance standards. The role ensures supplier reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Qualification & Evaluation
• Assist in vendor prequalification, background checks, and due diligence.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments in line with company quality standards.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor list (AVL).
• Vendor Quality Management
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, service, and compliance.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to resolve vendor-related non-conformance issues.
• Support in developing corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers.
• Risk Management
• Identify and evaluate potential risks in vendor relationships (financial, operational, compliance).
• Maintain supplier risk profiles and recommend mitigation measures.
• Track and report vendor performance KPIs and risk ratings.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure all vendor-related documentation (certifications, agreements, licenses) is valid and updated.
• Support internal and external audits related to vendor management.
• Enforce company procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and regulatory standards.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Liaise with procurement, finance, legal, and technical teams to ensure smooth supplier onboarding and performance monitoring.
• Prepare periodic reports on vendor quality and risk performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and vendor management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, vendor management, or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor evaluation, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, compliance requirements, and supplier auditing.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Supply Chain systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
