Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain Officer – VQRM is responsible for managing vendor evaluation, qualification, and risk monitoring to ensure that suppliers consistently meet organizational quality, compliance, and performance standards. The role ensures supplier reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Qualification & Evaluation
- Assist in vendor prequalification, background checks, and due diligence.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments in line with company quality standards.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list (AVL).
- Vendor Quality Management
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, service, and compliance.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to resolve vendor-related non-conformance issues.
- Support in developing corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers.
- Risk Management
- Identify and evaluate potential risks in vendor relationships (financial, operational, compliance).
- Maintain supplier risk profiles and recommend mitigation measures.
- Track and report vendor performance KPIs and risk ratings.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all vendor-related documentation (certifications, agreements, licenses) is valid and updated.
- Support internal and external audits related to vendor management.
- Enforce company procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and regulatory standards.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with procurement, finance, legal, and technical teams to ensure smooth supplier onboarding and performance monitoring.
- Prepare periodic reports on vendor quality and risk performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and vendor management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, vendor management, or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor evaluation, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, compliance requirements, and supplier auditing.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Supply Chain systems.
