Overview of the role:

The procurement team at Disrupt is supporting the complete portfolio of indirect procurement in Pakistan and UAE offices, including support in new projects, procurement implementation, and procurement system strengthening. The procurement specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of POSM (Point of Sale Materials) — from scope preparation and execution to commissioning. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong operational skills, capable of driving procurement efficiency while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

The position will be based in Karachi, Pakistan.


Expectations from the role:

Procurement & Execution

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for POSM, including planning, vendor selection, negotiations, and commissioning.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational procurement policies, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Work independently while ensuring proper quality controls, consistent policy interpretation, and sound procurement decision-making.

Event & Stakeholder Management

  • Apply deep knowledge of event management to anticipate and resolve on-ground challenges quickly.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely updates throughout the procurement cycle.

Vendor Management & Development

  • Maintain strong relationships with current vendors and proactively develop new vendor partnerships to strengthen the supplier network.
  • Monitor vendor performance and implement improvement initiatives to optimize value and service delivery.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Continuously strive to improve procurement processes, contract management, and organizational capacity.
  • Ensure procurement integrity, compliance with regulatory and tax requirements, and alignment with internal policies.
  • Support discussions on reform and modernization of procurement systems, including e-procurement, data analytics, and professional certification programs.

Financial Coordination

  • Collaborate with Finance to process vendor invoices on time and accurately.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.

ERP & Digital Tools

  • Leverage ERP system capabilities to streamline procurement workflows, monitor contract implementation, and track performance metrics.
  • Utilize electronic tools to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks in high-value procurement activities.

Advisory & Strategic Support

  • Provide expert advice to internal clients (end users) on complex procurement tasks and issues.
  • Develop and promote innovative approaches to procurement to enhance overall value creation.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and review procurement documents, including RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, legal agreements, and contracts.
  • Produce comprehensive procurement-related reports and conduct annual or ad hoc post-procurement reviews.

Capacity Building & Mentorship

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior procurement team members.
  • Design and deliver capacity-building workshops for company staff and vendors to strengthen procurement knowledge and best practices.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support organizational initiatives for procurement system assessments and capacity-building projects.
  • Perform any other tasks as instructed by the Procurement Lead


Qualification and Experience:


1. Bachelors' degree with a major in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering / Supply Chain / Business or Commerce)

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a seasoned Procurement Specialist or responsibilities with a substantial content in the procurement

3. Ability to function effectively and deal sensitively in multi-cultural environments and build effective relationships with clients and department

4. Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor/guide clients (End Users) and design training/skills enhance

5. High level of integrity and a sense of personal responsibility for achieving quality and timeliness in delivering the work program.
