Supply Chain Planning Coordinator

Location: Novato, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office + 2 days remote)
Role Type: Temporary assignment (3-6 months)

Role Overview

Our client in Novato is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planning Coordinator to support their planning, tracking, and reporting operations. This role will play a key part in the supply chain and logistics function, working closely with Procurement, Demand Planning, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of planning or logistics experience (CPG background a plus), strong Excel skills, and a keen eye for detail and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Track purchase orders (POs), quantities, ship dates and ETAs by item/PO as containers are booked and shipped; update the tracker accordingly.
• Reconcile “Balance Due” invoices against deposit invoices and prepare organized payment requests.
• Update Supply & Demand reports (weekly) with ETAs, particularly focusing on top customers and product categories.
• Pull weekly reports from systems including Sage ITR, PO Lines Reports, Safio S&D reports (and similar internal tools).
• Produce a Monthly KPI report for three key product categories — driving visibility into performance and metrics.
• Handle rework requests and instructions as required (coordinate with appropriate teams to ensure actions are documented and executed).
• Conduct Hold Log reconciliations — ensure proper documentation of held inventory, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in planning, logistics, inventory control, or operations in a CPG or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleanup, reporting).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple data sets and reconciliation tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Novato + remote) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain, PO management, invoicing, and ETAs is preferred.
• Comfort pulling and interpreting data from ERP systems or supply chain reporting tools.
• Desired (but not required)

• Any background in accounting, logistics, or data analysis.
• Familiarity with CPG / consumer goods supply chain processes.
• Experience with Sage or Safio (or comparable systems) is a plus.

Compensation Range: $28-32/hour DOE
