Job Title: Supply Chain Supervisor
Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and production feed. This role requires strong leadership to manage a team, optimize operational workflows, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and participate in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, put-away, picking, packing, and issue to production.
Inventory Control: Manage and monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP software.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff (associates, forklift operators, etc.). Assign daily workloads and determine staffing levels to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Efficiency & Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and collaborate with management to implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or 5S methodologies, to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety, and security protocols (proper use of PPE, equipment safety checks) to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Coordination & Communication: Liaise with other departments (Souring, Quality, logistics, procurement, customer service) to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate daily activity reports, inventory records, incident logs, and performance metrics (KPIs) for senior management review.
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition and operation of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and coordinate routine maintenance or repairs.
Technology Integration: Integrating advanced operating systems like WMS, barcode scanning, and automation devices to gain an overview of processes, track inventory, and accelerate productivity
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent is required. An Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
