The Supply Chain Systems Analyst is responsible for the health, integration, and optimization of the organization’s supply chain technology stack. You will analyze existing processes, identify technological gaps, and implement system configurations that increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs. You serve as the translator between the warehouse floor, the procurement office, and the IT development team.
Key Responsibilities
- System Optimization: Evaluate and configure Supply Chain Management (SCM) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder) to align with business requirements.
- Data Integration: Manage the flow of data between internal systems and external partners (3PLs, suppliers) via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or APIs.
- Process Mapping: Document "As-Is" and "To-Be" supply chain workflows to identify bottlenecks that can be solved through automation or system logic changes.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop SQL queries and BI dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to monitor critical KPIs like inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and carrier performance.
- User Support & Training: Act as the Tier 2 support for system issues and create training documentation for end-users in the warehouse or procurement teams.
- UAT (User Acceptance Testing): Lead the testing of system patches, upgrades, or new module implementations to ensure zero disruption to physical operations.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in supply chain operations with a heavy focus on systems analysis or implementation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Hard Skills:
- ERP/WMS Mastery: High proficiency in platforms like SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, or Manhattan Active.
- Data Tools: Strong SQL skills for data extraction and Excel (VBA/Power Query) for modeling.
- Visualization: Experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
- Process Design: Proficiency in Visio or Lucidchart for workflow mapping.
- Soft Skills:
- Systems Thinking: Ability to understand how a change in the procurement module affects warehouse receiving and downstream accounting.
- Cross-functional Communication: Ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical operations managers.
