Position Overview:

As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a critical role in assisting with a variety of periodontal surgeries and procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and contributing to the smooth operation of the practice. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team of periodontists and dental professionals, helping us create exceptional patient experiences with every visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the periodontist during surgical procedures, including implants, grafting, and other advanced periodontal treatments.
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Help maintain a sterile and organized work environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  • Educate patients on postoperative care and recovery instructions.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation and charting.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere with staff and patients alike.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or Dental Assistant in a surgical setting, preferably in periodontics or oral surgery.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and teammates.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the team’s success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, respecting the input and expertise of others.
  • CPR and/or other relevant certifications (preferred, but not required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
