WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Sustainability Compliance Expert, you will play a crucial role in securing compliance at every step, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices and maintaining our leadership position in the industry. The core mission is to uphold and advance compliance and human rights standards across all supply chains in Pakistan, ensuring ethical practices and alignment with global sustainability commitments

What is Production? It's the place where design ideas are transformed into actual products. We are in over 20 sourcing markets and are the direct point of contact for local suppliers. We work to ensure our products are of good quality and produced at the best price and in a sustainable way.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people to …

  • Drive systematic change and/or development to ensure supplier compliance against local regulation and H&M minimum requirements
  • Perform supplier assessments, audit coordination, remediation and stakeholder engagement to drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance
  • Translate audit findings into actionable insights that resonate with leadership and drive strategic change within the supply chain
  • Collaborate with nominated third parties in your country/region to secure accurate assessments and data validation
  • Collaborate with other brands and/or relevant external partners for multi-brand projects – if needed
  • Manage internal and external data and systems to ensure compliance, maintaining transparency, traceability and accountability
  • Ensure local compliance and understanding of our standards, it is crucial to stay informed about local regulations and laws
  • Assess the need for and conduct trainings and workshops to enhance suppliers’ and internal teams’ understanding of improvement areas and new best practices
  • Ensure both new and existing suppliers comply with H&M Group’s minimum sustainability requirements including local legislations and international standards
  • Achieve strong execution and ownership by fully implementing compliance and governance initiatives at the facility level, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals
  • Leverage your curiosity to explore new local laws and legislation and continuously seeking innovative remedial solutions to enhance our practices
  • Coordinate remotely with the regional team in Bangladesh

AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • Academic background in Law/Social/Environmental Since is preferrable
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in similar role
  • Strong understanding on Pakistan’s labor and environmental laws
  • Working with compliance initiative such as Better Work, Accord, etc.
  • Effective communication is key in highlighting areas that require improvement, and guiding stakeholders through regular follow and remediation of improvement areas
  • Collaborate with your sustainability colleagues to identify improvement possibilities by regularly assessing risks and focusing on continuous enhancement to drive significant advancements
  • Good problem-solving skill and analytical thinking
