SWD Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Software Development Project Manager to lead, manage, and deliver IT projects within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from initiation to closure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, project management, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
• Scope and Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and resource requirements, ensuring clear understanding and agreement across all parties.
• Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and assess project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project stays on track.
• Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA, business analysts, etc.) to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and execution of project tasks.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency regarding project progress, risks, and any challenges.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all projects comply with internal policies, IT governance, and security standards, including best practices in software development.
• Vendor and Third-Party Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers as required, ensuring quality deliverables and compliance with contract terms.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce high-quality standards for all deliverables, ensuring that projects meet both technical and business expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned from each project and applying them to future initiatives to improve processes and outcomes.
• Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation is created for all projects, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a must, similar certification (e.g., Scrum Master, ACP) are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in SWD project management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
