Syrup Operator

  • Responsible for the accurate syrup preparation in line with PI specs and syrup quality control tasks to support BIB and production plan.
  • Compliance to Food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Responsible for the correct concentrate issuance from the cold store and syrup batches are prepared as per the production schedule in line with PI specs and standards.
  • Maintain accurate syrup preparation and document the analysis details on every stage for ISO/PI Audit compliance.
  • Concentrates and Sugar inventory to be monitored and documented in the register on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all the strainers on syrup line, the CIP (Clean-in-Place) spray balls inside the syrup storage tanks are opened and inspected frequently and the same documented.
  • Perform and document the syrup storage tanks annual calibration checks.
  • Ensure the Concentrates are received from the correct formulae and report the discrepancy if any to QC. Manager for immediate action.
  • Ensure First in First out rotation applied to all concentrates and other ingredients.           
  • Ensure both the Cold store temperatures are monitored and documented.
  • Ensure that the processing area is neat, cleaned all the time.
  • Responsible to make sure that the Clean In Place Sanitation is being performed with all equipment & tanks inside the syrup room.
  • Ensure Food safety & Hygiene policy & procedures are implemented at every production stages of syrup preparation.
  • Syrup room, being one of the most sensitive areas, ensure the food defense policy is followed strictly.
  • Additional jobs on BIB filling Operation.
  • Document BIB Bags supplier production coding for ISO 22000 compliance.
  • Verify & document product identification coding and production coding on BIB Boxes.
  • Document Syrup brix and Titratable acidity verification details.
  • Calibrate the BIB pulse system on PLC in order to suit 5.0 or 2.5 US Gallons size prior to production and document.
  • Production coding on BIB Aluminum lined polyethylene bags.
  • Hot melt Glue application on product filled BIB boxes for palletizing and final inventory verification.
  • Calibration of tanks, monitoring of cold room temperature & humidity on daily basis
  • Filling up of additional reports as needed by ISO 22000, AIBI & FSSC
  • Prior to production CIP on BIB Line and validate the system for residual Chlorine if any.
  • Perform sensory analysis, syrup volume and brix analysis on every batch of syrup produced and the results documented for ISO/PI (Pepsi international) Audit compliance.
    Identify needs for operational improvement and recommend suggestions for innovative solutions.
