Job Description

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with proven expertise in Linux and Windows server administration and Microsoft 365 cloud services. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our hybrid IT infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performance, and compliance. This position plays a key role in supporting both classified and unclassified IT systems, requiring a high level of technical proficiency, security awareness, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system administration for Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server environments, including configuration, account management, licensing, monitoring, patching, and performance tuning
• Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra
• Implement and maintain hybrid identity solutions, such as SSO and MFA
• Apply security best practices for on-premises and cloud environments
• Monitor and respond to security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with company standards
• Implement and manage backup solutions for both on-premises and cloud systems
• Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans
• Provide Tier 1/2 support for system-related issues
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Eligibility for Secret-level government clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3+ years of system administration experience with both Linux and Windows environments
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FIPS 199, and CMMC (experience with DoD IS administration is a plus)
• Strong technical knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPN, and firewalls
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, RHCSA, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
