Administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
Duties typically involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
This administrator will maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
This Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
Other responsibilities include:
Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
Provide technical direction to IT support staff
Ensure constant availability of technical resources
Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention

Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
A current USG issued “SECRET” security clearance (or interim) is required AND must be maintained. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
A CompTIA Security+ certification.
Salary: the expected salary range for this position is $70,304 to $87,360 but is subject to change.
