Role Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Dressmaker/Tailor at GlamOnYou. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for creating full garments from scratch, including dressmaking and producing new pieces to meet our stringent quality expectations and customer specifications. This role focuses on garment construction rather than solely alterations.

• Sew garments based on design specifications and patterns.
• Work with various fabrics and materials (e.g., cotton, silk, chiffon, linen).
• Handle alterations and custom sewing for special requests or orders.
• Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines and tools.
• Ensure high attention to detail, quality, and timeliness in all garment production.
• Perform fitting adjustments to ensure garments fit clients perfectly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tailor, garment maker, or seamstress, with at least 2 years of experience in sewing and making women's garments.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction.
• Proficient in operating various types of sewing machines and equipment.
• Ability to work with a wide range of fabrics and materials.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional craftsmanship and finishing skills.
• Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Formal training in tailoring or garment design.
• Experience with women's garments.
• Familiarity with fashion trends and garment industry standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
