Duties

• Measure customers accurately to determine tailoring needs and ensure a perfect fit.
• Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to alter or construct garments according to specifications.
• Repair or modify clothing items, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and replacing zippers or buttons.
• Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on garment adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all sewing tools and equipment are in optimal condition.
• Follow safety procedures when operating sewing machines and other equipment.
• Manage multiple tailoring projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Experience

• Prior experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Proficiency with sewing machines and garment construction techniques is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Knowledge of sewing, garment fitting, and basic math for measurements and adjustments.
• Familiarity with sewing machine maintenance and safety standards.
