About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our Finance team at Level3 BOS. In this role, you will assist in preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients while ensuring full compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws, excellent Excel skills, and a keen interest in developing a long-term career in international taxation. Prior experience in a BPO environment or with U.S. tax filings will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients.
- Support senior tax professionals with research, interpretation of tax regulations, and identification of compliance or optimization opportunities.
- Prepare detailed work papers, schedules, and supporting documentation in line with internal control and reporting standards.
- Review financial statements and accounting records for completeness and accuracy in tax reporting.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations.
- Stay current with U.S. and international tax law changes and filing requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients and tax authorities to collect information and resolve tax-related issues.
- Prepare audit documentation and provide support during internal and external tax audits.
- Ensure all filings and payments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to streamline tax reporting processes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Pursue continuous learning and professional development in U.S. and international taxation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or a similar role (fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and filing requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas and data analysis).
- Experience with tax or accounting software such as QuickBooks, CCH, or Drake is a plus.
- Exposure to international taxation or BPO operations is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work night shifts to support international clients.
