Tax Preparer

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. This role involves reviewing sales receipts and calculating amounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and tax experience.

Duties

• Prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for a small businesses.
• Review financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Utilize a calculator, and other financial tools to compile data efficiently.
• Analyze financial information to identify potential deductions, credits, and savings opportunities for clients.
• Keep detailed records of all filings and correspondence for audit purposes.

Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting, tax experience, and financial concepts.
• Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy with Calculator.
• Experience in public accounting or related fields is preferred.
• Effective customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Knowledge of financial sales and bookkeeping is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule

• Part-Time, Flexible schedule and hours

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary

Pay: $23.57 - $28.39 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in West Palm Beach, FL 33403
