Tax Preparer (Enrolled Agent)

Overview

This is an opportunity for a customer-first professional who seeks to build a career in our tax preparation division.

About Lifeline Tax Solutions

Lifeline Tax Solutions is a 5-star rated full-service tax resolution, tax preparation, and bookkeeping firm built for scale, accountability, and results.

We are a people-first, technology-forward organization serving thousands of clients nationwide. Your position will be supported by an extensive set of systems, workflows, and internal tools built to help you focus on what matters: delivering tax returns using a combination of client sourced and professionally prepared financial statements with a high level of customer service at scale.

Overview: Tax Preparer (Enrolled Agent) at Lifeline Tax Solutions

As a Tax Preparer at Lifeline Tax Solutions, your primary focus will be preparing a variety of tax returns covering personal, self-employed, and business (S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnerships) tax matters. You’ll provide clients with proactive guidance, including estimated tax planning, entity structuring (such as S-Corp elections), and small business tax strategies.

Your role is key to ensuring clients stay compliant, informed, and financially well-positioned throughout the year. You will also need to be comfortable communicating with other preparers, tax resolution specialists and bookkeepers to facilitate resolution of prior-period return preparation, often for clients who have not filed in several years.

You must understand the Cohan rule and have a general understanding of IRM, IRC, and applicable state laws or willing to research when necessary.

We are looking for candidates who have balanced experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting, and/or some combination and want to help us scale. This role is for someone who is comfortable with preparing a large number of returns year-round and has experience doing so.

This position will focus primarily on tax return preparation but can include some assistance with bookkeeping and reconciliation at times for the right candidate.
